LANDA WO’s fiction and poetry has appeared in a variety of publications including Bellingham Review, Columbia Journal, Cyphers, Fiction International, Grain Magazine, Michigan Quarterly Review, Nashville Review, Raleigh Review, Salt Hill Journal, Spillway, The Common, Tule Review and The Cape Rock among others publications. Selected by Roddy Doyle as the winner of the 2007 Metro Eireann writing competition, Landa wo has won a number of awards including Eist poetry competition and Feile Filiochta international poetry competition in Ireland.
His work has been anthologised in Landing Places : Immigrant Poets in Ireland , Dedalus Press 2010 and Writing Home: The “New Irish” Poets, Dedalus Press 2019. With roots in Angola and Cabinda, Landa wo is a Black French writer from the diaspora. Politically engaged his work deal with prominent issues of social justice, discrimination and cultural strife.
