Kashiana Singh(http://www.kashianasingh.com/ ) has four collections of poetry and a fifth to be released in 2024. Kashiana Singh is a management professional by job classification and a work practitioner by personal preference. Kashiana’s TEDx talk was dedicated to her life mantra of Work as Worship. Kashiana serves as President of the Board for North Carolina Poetry Society. Besides being a learner of poetry, Kashiana serves as the Vice President, Operations at a professional services firm and also serves as Managing Editor of Poets Reading the News.
Her poetry collection, Shelling Peanuts and Stringing Words presents her voice as a participant and an observer. Her second chapbook Crushed Anthills is a collection of poems and photographs through which she unravels her journey through ten cities. Kashiana’s full-length collection, Woman by the Door released in 2022 with Apprentice House Press and her newest collection Witching Hour will be released with Glass Lyre Press in August 2024.
Her poems have been published on various platforms including Poets Reading the News, Oddball Magazine, Café Dissensus, TurnPike Magazine, Dissident Voice, Inverse Journal, Feminine Collective and others.
She is a regular voice on the Wednesday Night Poetry Series run by Kai Coggin and is very proud to have been a featured poet for their Inauguration Day event.
She is a reader volunteer for Frontier Poetry. Kashiana loves to be a poetry ambassador and serves as a program coordinator for literary organizations like Matwaala South Asian Poets Collective and Samyukta Poetry.
She specializes and has led panels and workshops on the topic of How Food Invokes and intersects with Poetry.
