Atlanta Writers Conference [1]
The spring 2025 Atlanta Writers Conference, sponsored by the Atlanta Writers Club, will be held on May 2 and May 3 at the Westin Atlanta Airport Hotel. The conference includes a book fair featuring attendees’ books; presentations on the craft and business of writing, including a workshop on intellectual property and legal protection for writers; agent and editor pitch sessions; query letter critiques; manuscript excerpt critiques; and Q&A panels for poets, fiction writers, and nonfiction writers. Virtual participation will be available for all agent and editor pitch sessions, query letter critiques, and manuscript excerpt critiques. Participating publishing professionals include acquisitions editors Foyinsi Adegbonmire (Feiwel & Friends), Kurt Brackob (Histria Books), Alexandria Brown (Rising Action Publishing), Monica Rae Brown (Random House), Grace Gay (St. Martin’s Press), Jéla Lewter (Saga Press), Nicole Luongo (Grand Central Publishing), Dianna Vega (Tor), and Wendy Wong (Ballantine Books) and literary agents Lauren Bieker (FinePrint Literary Management), Micah Brocker (Corvisiero Literary Agency), Joëlle Delbourgo (Joëlle Delbourgo Associates), Renee C. Fountain (Gandolfo Helin & Fountain Literary Management), Paloma Hernando (Ayesha Pande Literary), Jake Lovell (Sandra Dijkstra Literary Agency), Jenna Satterthwaite (Storm Literary Agency), Vicky Weber (Creative Media Agency), and Jynastie Wilson (LCS Literary Services). The cost of a single event ranges from $50 to $200; the cost of the full conference is $760. Registration for a table to sell merchandise at the book fair is $40. For nonmembers of the Atlanta Writers Club, an additional $60 membership fee is required. Lodging at the conference hotel is offered at a discounted rate of $159 per night until April 10. General registration is rolling through May 3; the deadline to submit a manuscript for critique is March 31.
