Alanna C. Burke (born Alanna Carroll Burke, July 31, 1952, Worcester, Massachusetts, U.S.A), American poet and business manager for her husband, the artist William Berra. Since 2011 she has been writing poetry, primarily Japanese short forms such as senryu, haiku, and haibun. Her work has been published in print and online periodicals including Modern Haiku, The Heron’s Nest, Frogpond, NOON : journal of the short poem, bottle rockets, Kingfisher, Autumn Moon Haiku Journal, Wild Plum, Creatrix, Shamrock, Prune Juice, Akitsu Quarterly, hedgerow,Trash Panda and tinywords. A member of the Santa Fe Haiku Study Group, she co-edited the group’s chapbook, Open Spaces, which was distributed to attendees of Haiku North America 2017. She has lived in Santa Fe, New Mexico, since 1985.
