Sunlit Residency [1]
Sunlit Residency offers weekly residencies of one to three weeks and monthly residencies of up to three months year-round to poets, fiction writers, nonfiction writers, and translators at the Sue-Je Lee Gage Residency for Human Rights and Social Justice in Ithaca, New York. The residency offers time and space to write and one-on-one consultations by request. The faculty includes fiction writer Nick Kowalczyk, creative nonfiction writer Hannah Bae, and translator Annette H. Levine. Residents are provided with a private bedroom, work space, and full kitchen as well as shared studio space and common living areas. The cost of a weekly residency is $400 per week, and the cost of a monthly residency is $1,000 per month. Mini-residencies are available for up to three days at a nightly rate of $100. To apply, submit four or five pages of poetry or 8 to 10 pages of prose, a personal statement, and a project description. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis; there is no application fee.
