Tulsa Artist Fellowship [1]
The 2026–2028 Tulsa Artist Fellowship, sponsored by the George Kaiser Family Foundation, offers three-year residencies to poets, fiction writers, creative nonfiction writers, and translators at Archer Studios in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Residents receive a $150,000 stipend paid over three years for awarded project deliverables; a $36,000 housing stipend; a $1,500 one-time studio move-in stipend; a fully subsidized studio space with access to shared facilities, including a podcast recording studio and meeting rooms with video and audio capabilities; a $3,600 studio assistant stipend (over three years); and a $3,600 health and wellness stipend (over three years). Writers who are at least 25 years old; U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or O-1 Visa holders; and committed to living in Tulsa, Oklahoma, for the duration of their residency are eligible. To apply for a residency from January 2026 through December 2028, submit a writing sample of up to 15 pages of poetry or prose by May 28. Following these guidelines, translators may submit a writing sample of poetry or prose in English along with the matching selection in the original language. There is no application fee.
