Charles Ghigna - Father Goose® lives in a tree house in the middle of Alabama. He served as poet-in-residence and chair of creative writing at the Alabama School of Fine Arts, and is a former nationally syndicated feature writer for Tribune Media Services. He is the author of more than 5000 poems and 100 books for children and adults from Random House, Disney, Hyperion, Scholastic, Simon & Schuster, Time Inc., Abrams, Orca and other publishers. His poems have appeared in The New Yorker, Harper’s, Rolling Stone, The Village Voice, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, and in children's magazines Cricket, Highlights for Children and numerous others. He is the recipient of grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, and the Mary Roberts Rinehart Foundation. He has presented poetry readings at the Library of Congress, The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the American Library in Paris, the International Schools of South America, and at hundreds of schools, conferences, libraries, and literary events throughout the U.S. and overseas.
