All Write Fiction Conference

The 2023 All Write Fiction Conference will be held from November 9 to November 12 at the Spencertown Academy in Columbia County, New York. The conference features workshops to discuss 15 to 20 pages of each writer’s work, an opening night reception, author talks, a publishing panel, and craft workshops. While all workshops are in person, the panelists and presenting authors will attend the conference virtually. The faculty includes authors Rahne Alexander, Venis T. Berry, Jennifer Chen, Taylor Harris, Donna Kaz, Vanessa Mártir, Melissa Holbrook Pierson, and Pramila Venkateswaran. Participating publishing professionals include book coach Lisa Cron, literary agent Priya Doraswamy (Lotus Lane Lit), and publicist Michelle Blankenship (Blankenship Public Relations). Tuition, which includes all conference events and meals for Saturday and Sunday, is $500. Housing is not provided. Writers submitted a writing sample of 10 to 14 pages of fiction, which could include excerpts from a novel or up to two short stories, with a $10 application fee by September 22. A limited number of scholarships were available for local writers from Columbia County, New York; to apply, writers submitted a statement specifying your place of residence.
