Sarasvati Creative Space offers residencies of one week to four months year-round to poets, fiction writers, nonfiction writers, and translators at the 17-acre Camp Wonder Wander in the rural hills of Lewis County, Tennessee, near the Buffalo River. Residents are provided with lodging in private bedrooms, some with en suite bathrooms, as well as access to shared kitchen, dining, porch, and laundry spaces. Studios are also available based on the writer’s needs. Residents who book a two-week stay or longer are also invited to participate in a complimentary forest therapy session with a certified guide. The cost of the residency is $450 for one week, $750 for two weeks, $900 for three weeks, or $800 for a month. Lodging ranges from $250 to $850 depending on the room option and length of stay. Parking for a recreational vehicle is $300 per week or $900 for a month. To apply, submit a poetry or prose writing sample of any length or a link to a digital portfolio, an overview of your project and goals for the residency, and a brief statement of interest with a $20 application fee. Following these guidelines, translators may submit a writing sample of poetry or prose in English along with the matching selection in the original language. To apply for a work exchange scholarship, which affords a $150 weekly discount on the residency fee, express interest via the application. Admissions are rolling.
