The Adirondack Center for Writing offered a two-week residency from September 22 to October 6 to six poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers at a lodge on Twitchell Lake in the Adirondack Mountains in New York. Three of the residents were chosen from the Adirondack region and the other three from anywhere else in the world. Residents were each provided with a private room and bathroom, work space, and meals. There was no cost to attend the residency, but residents were responsible for travel expenses to and from Twitchell Lake. To apply, writers submitted a writing sample of up to 10 pages and a cover letter with a $30 application fee by May 19. Visit the website for more information.
Accessibility accommodations include accessible dining spaces, accessible reading event spaces, and accessible parking. Contact the executive director via phone or e-mail for additional accessibility details.
