The 2024 Cape Cod Writers Center Conference was held from August 1 to August 4 at the Emerald Resort/Cape Cod Irish Village hotel in Barnstable, Massachusetts. The conference featured workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, an agent panel, and manuscript mentoring sessions with faculty. The faculty included poet and nonfiction writer Ben Berman; fiction writer Susan Breen; fiction and nonfiction writers Nancy Agabian, Nicole Blades, and Sara Rauch; and nonfiction writers Dorian Fox and David Yoo. Fiction writer William Martin delivered the keynote address. Participating publishing professionals included agents Valerie Borchardt (Georges Borchardt) and Gina Panettieri (Talcott Notch Literary). General registration was $80 and included a yearlong membership to the Cape Cod Writers Center (registration was free for current members). Writers stayed at the Emerald Resort/Cape Cod Irish Village hotel for $220 per night or at other hotels in the area. Tuition for a three-session two-hour workshop was $180; the cost was $140 for a two-session workshop and $75 for a one-session workshop. Manuscript consultations were available for an additional $180. The deadline to register for a manuscript consultation was July 15, and the general registration deadline was July 25.
