The 2023 Catamaran Writing Conference was held from July 30 to August 3 at the Robert Louis Stevenson School in Pebble Beach, California. The conference featured small group workshops, lectures, craft talks, and daily excursions for poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers. The faculty included poets Ellen Bass, Rebecca Foust, and Joseph Millar; fiction writers Josip Novakovich and Gina Ochsner; and creative nonfiction writers Charles Hood and Patrice Vecchione. The cost of the conference, which included tuition, 12 meals, and shared lodging, was $1,450, or $1,950 for a private room; tuition only was $1,150. Registration was first come, first served, and closed on July 15. There was no application fee. Visit the website for complete guidelines.
Accessibility accommodations included public transportation near the venue; elevators in all multilevel event spaces; accessible doorways, pathways, restrooms, and parking; and reserved seating in lecture halls.
