The Fine Arts Work Center’s (FAWC) annual summer workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction were held from June 16 to August 16 in Provincetown, Massachusetts. The faculty included poets Cameron Awkward-Rich, Samiya Bashir, Gabrielle Calvocoressi, Tina Chang, Chen Chen, Oliver de la Paz, Vievee Francis, Kimiko Hahn, Jessica Jacobs, Donika Kelly, Dante Micheaux, John Murillo, Porsha Olayiwola, Matthew Olzmann, Rowan Ricardo Phillips, Nicole Sealey, Patricia Spears Jones, and Mark Wunderlich; fiction writers Douglas Bauer, Mira Jacob, Andrea Lawlor, Carmen Maria Machado, Cleyvis Natera, Asako Serizawa, and Michelle Tea; and nonfiction writers Garrard Conley, Melissa Febos, Nick Flynn, Paul Lisicky, Sarah Schulman, Susanna Sonnenberg, Deborah Taffa, and Joan Wickersham. All workshop attendees had access to a computer lab and a student lounge. Tuition, which included a daily continental breakfast, was $800 per weeklong workshop ($500 for students and teachers). Housing was available at nearby guesthouses and inns; limited campus housing was available on a first-come, first-served basis for $1,000 for six nights.
