The 2022 Kentucky Book Festival, presented by Kentucky Humanities, was held October 27 and October 29 in Lexington, Kentucky. The festival included a ticketed luncheon with fiction and nonfiction writer Geraldine Brooks and biographer and historian Emily Bingham on October 27 and culminated with a daylong celebration featuring book signings, story-times, discussions, and other events with 150 authors on October 29 at Joseph-Beth Booksellers. Participating authors included poet Crystal Wilkinson; fiction writer Silas House; nonfiction writer Jon Meacham; and poet, fiction, and nonfiction writers Wendell Berry and Barbara Kingsolver. Most events were free and open to the public; tickets for the luncheon were $60 each and were distributed on a first come, first served basis. Visit the website for more information.
Accessibility accommodations at all festival sites included elevators in all multilevel event spaces; accessible doorways, pathways, and sidewalks; accessible parking; and signage in Braille. Writers contacted Sara Woods at sara.volpi@uky.edu for additional information.
