The New York Times began publishing original poetry in the Book Review on February 17. New York City poet Nathanial Bellows's "Harm's Woods" was the first entry in what will be a regular feature of the Sunday edition of the newspaper.

"We are living in a neo-golden age of poetry," said Book Review editor Charles McGrath, who will oversee the selection process. "We want to embrace that fact and show our support for the genre. Years ago, newspapers regularly printed poetry. We would like to reinvigorate that tradition."

Audio recordings of poems featured in the Book Review will be avaible at the New York Times Web site.
