The 2024 Longleaf Writers Conference was held from May 11 to May 18 at the Seaside Academic Village in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. The conference featured workshops, craft seminars, sunset receptions, bonfire readings, and one-on-one consultations with agents for poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers. The faculty included poets Leona Sevick, Seth Brady Tucker, and Adam Vines; poet and fiction writer Melissa Ginsburg; fiction writers Dean Bakopoulos, Matt Bondurant, and Snowden Wright; and creative nonfiction writer Beth (Bich Minh) Nguyen. The 2024 visiting writers were poet and nonfiction writer Maggie Smith and fiction writer Adam Johnson. Participating publishing professionals included agent Alex Glass (Glass Literary Management). Early-bird registration for the full conference up until February 1 was $1,760 with lodging included and $880 without lodging. The cost of the conference after February 1 was $2,199 with lodging included and $1,099 without lodging. À la carte options were available. Registration was first come, first served.
