The "main office" of Wolverine Farm Publishing, a nonprofit organization based in Fort Collins, Colorado, is the volunteer-run Matter Bookstore, which is located inside the Bean Cycle Coffeehouse. From this admittedly quirky location the nonprofit annually publishes two or three books of art and literature "that mindfully engage humans with the world" as well as its flagship publication, the Matter Journal, all of which benefit from professionally produced, full-color, perfect-bound design aesthetics and a funky Fort Collins literary sensibility. Think Clear Cut Press but with a rural feel. While Wolverine Farm publisher Todd Simmons does not accept unsolicited book-length manuscripts, he and his staff of nine welcome queries about "interesting books that fit our mission." The press's catalogue includes David Rozgonyi's story collection Goat Trees and Charles J. Malone's Tree Climbing in Fort Collins, which is described as "a lyric guide."
