Author's Bio

Aaron Michael Morales was born in Tucson, Arizona, and is a graduate of Purdue University's MFA program. He was Associate Professor of English & Gender Studies at Indiana State University where he taught Creative Writing and Contemporary Literature from 2005-2015. He is now a business owner, as well as a standup comic, in Chicago, IL. His fiction has appeared in <i>Another Chicago Magazine</i>, <i>Passages North</i>, and <i>MAKE Magazine</i>, among other places. His first short collection of fiction, titled <i>From Here You Can Almost See the End of the Desert</i>, was published in 2008 by Momotombo Press at the University of Notre Dame's Institute for Latino Studies. He has authored one novel, <i>Drowning Tucson</i>, and is currently at work on his second, <i>Eat Your Children</i>. He also authored the composition textbook, <i>American Mashup: A Popular Culture Reader</i>.
