Author's Bio

Adrienne Christian is the author of "A Proper Lover (Main Street Rag 2017)" and "12023 Woodmont Avenue (Willow Books 2013)." She is Cave Canem fellow whose work has appeared in Alimentum, phoebe, Obsidian, Concis, The Los Angeles Review as the Editor's Choice, and others. She is an editorial assistant at Prairie Schooner and associate editor at Backbone Press. She earned her BA in English from The University of Michigan and is currently pursing her PhD at The University of Nebraska.

In 2007, Adrienne Christian won the "Five Under Ten Award" from the University of Michigan. The award is reserved for outstanding alumni who have graduated in under five years. In 2016, she was a finalist for the Rita Dove Interntional Poetry Award. In 2018, she won third place for the Gaffney/Academy of American Poets award.
