Prizes won: 

His poem Dreamskimmer was highly commended by former UK Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy at the 2007 Poetry On The Lake Competition & Festival, Orta, Italy.

His third collection Straight Astray (Troubador, UK, 2005) received an honorable mention at the 2008 London Book Festival.

His poem At A Loss was a winner of the Spring 2010 Member's Poems Competition of the Poetry Society (UK), judged by Penelope Shuttle. 

His flash fiction piece The Rag was nominated for the Pushcart Prize 2022 Anthology by Nunum (Canada) and his poem Transition Hendecapoem for the Pushcart Prize 2024 Anthology by Poetica Magazine (USA).
