Author's Bio

Andrew Mossin has published eight books of poetry to date, including The Epochal Body (Singing Horse Press 2004), The Veil (Singing Horse Press 2006), Exile's Recital (Spuyten Duyvil 2014), Torture Papers (Spuyten Duyvil 2017), Stanzas for the Preparation of Perception (Spuyten Duyvil 2019), The Fire Cycle (Sputyen Duyvil 2020), Black Trees (Spuyten Duyvil 2023), and a book of critical essays, Male Subjectivity and Poetic Form in "New American" Poetry (Palgrave 2010).   He has published his poetry, creative non-fiction, reviews and critical esssays in a wide range of journals and magazines, including Conjunctions, Talisman, Hambone, The Iowa Review, Jacket, Contemporary Literature, Golden Handcuffs Review, and many others.  His memoir, A Son from the Mountains, was published by Spuyten Duyvil Press in 2021. He has recently completed a new book of poetry, A Common World and is at work on a new non-fiction book, A Single Father. 

Mossin recieved his M.A. in Creative Writing and Ph.D. in English from Temple University, where he is currently an Associate Professor in the Intellectual Heritage Program.  He lives in Doylestown, PA.
