Author's Bio

Anne de Marcken is a writer and interdisciplinary artist. Winner of The Novel Prize, It Lasts Forever and Then It’s Over is her debut novelpublished simultaneously by New Directions (US), Fitzcarraldo Editions (UK) and Giramondo (AU). She is also author of the lyric novella, The Accident: An Account (Spuyten Duyvil, 2020), and her writing has been featured in Best New American VoicesPloughsharesNarrative, EntropyGlimmer TrainSouthern Indiana Review, on NPR’s Selected Shorts and elsewhere. She has received fellowship and award recognition for her work across disciplines in film, site-specific installation and writing.
