Annemarie Marek

Annemarie enjoys exploring the unique and often challenging interactions between human nature and the natural world through her writing. Calming the Wilderness, her first poetry collection, was named a Willa Literary Award finalist by Women Writing the West. Her poem Three Riffs, One Land was included in the recently released New Mexico Poetry Anthology 2023. Annemarie continues to be inspired by the wildness and wilderness of New Mexico’s high desert.
