Author's Bio

Barbara Henning is a poet and a novelist.  Her most recent poetry collections include Digigram (United Artists Books, 2020), A Day Like Today(Negative Capability Press 2015),  A Swift Passage(Quale Press), Cities and Memory(Chax Press) and a collection of object-sonnets, My Autobiography (United Artists).  Her novels include Just like That (2018), Thirty Miles to RosebudYou Me and the Insectsand Black Lace.  A work of creative non-fiction and/or novelized biography/memoir, Ferne: a Detroit Story I. She is the editor of Looking Up Harryette Mullen and The Collected Prose of Bobbie Louise Hawkins.  Born in Detroit in 1948, Barbara Henning moved to New York City with her two children in 1983.She has also lived in Mysore, India, Tucson and Tesuque New Mexico. She has taught for Naropa University, the University of Arizona.
