Author's Bio

Bonnie Jill Emanuel is the author of Glitter City (Cornerstone Press, University of Wisconsin SP, 2024).  Her poems and interviews most recently appear in American Poetry Review, Colorado Review, Passages North, Pine Hills Review, and more. She holds  an MFA from The City College of New York, where she received the Jerome Lowell DeJur Award in Creative Writing and the Irwin and Alice Stark Poetry Prize.

Finalist for the 2021 Off The Grid Prize (GRID BOOKS) for a full-length collection, 2021 Gerald Cable Book Award (SILVERFISH REVIEW PRESS), 2022 Hilary Tham Capital Collection Award (WORD WORKS), and the 2022 Idaho Prize for Poetry (LOST HORSE PRESS).

 

"Prayer Down Depot Road" was nominated for the Pushcart Prize. 

"Colors Of A Roadhouse Porch" was nominated for Best Of The Net.

"Still Life With Vincent" was long listed for the 2023 Frontier Poetry Ekphrastic Prize.
