Carol A. Stephen

I’m an eclectic poet. I write lyric one day and found poems the next. I am always fondest of the poem I just wrote. I began writing on a manual green Olivetti typewriter, but I don’t miss having poems flavoured with correction fluid and cross-outs. I have three chapbooks in print, most recently Ink Dogs in my Shoes, 2014, from Nose In Book Publishing. Previous chapbooks: Above the Hum of Yellow Jackets, 2011 Architectural Variations, 2012 Since 2014, I've been collaborating with fellow poet, JC Sulzenko, on 2 chapbooks of co-written poems, Breathing Mutable Air 2015 and Slant of Light, 2016, both from Nose In Book Publishing. We're working on a full collection of ekphrastic poems. In 2019, Crowe Creations published my non-fiction book, Winning the Lottery, a combination of essays and poems about surviving C. Difficile, and adjusting to life with an ostomy.
