author of 12 books--medical nonfiction, literary novels, mysteries. 13th book (novel, How She Saved Her Life) will appear soon from new She Writes Press. My short work--stories, poems, articles, interviews--has appeared in 200 periodicals, anthologies, and online. These include NY Times, Child, America, Redbook, Family Circle, Woman's World,(mini-mystery), North American Review, liquidimagination.com. Six pieces won prizes in international contests, including USA Today, Radio Netherlands Worldwide, Writers of the Future. I teach fiction writing in Dartmouth Callege adult ed program.
