Author's Bio

M.F.A. Washington University in St. Louis. After 31 years of teaching undergraduate and graduate university courses I am a full-time researcher and writer and well-established Sylvia Plath scholar. Author of the poetry volumes Fierce Consent (2005) and Hide and Sex (2015); author nonfiction works Island Universe: Essays and Entertainments (2007), Meet Me: Writers in St. Louis (2010), and, under pseudonym, Sun Sign Confidential (2015), and a translation of Tetrabiblos for the 21st Century (2023).
