Dana Teen Lomax

Dana Teen Lomax is a poet whose most recent work includes the editorial project—_THE BEAUTIFUL: Poets Reimagine a Nation_ about which Juan Felipe Hererra writes, "Each author here, each photographer, each moment here can change our lives." Another editorial project, _Kindergarde: Avant-garde Poems, Plays, Stories, and Songs for Children_ (Black Radish Books),  won the 2014 Lion and the Unicorn Prize for Children's Literature sponsored by John Hopkins University Press. Dr. Cornel West calls _Letters to Poets: Conversations about Poetics, Politics, and Community_ (co-edited with Jennifer Firestone, Saturnalia Books, 2008) "visionary and courageous." She is the author of several books of poems including _Disclosure_ (Black Radish Books, 2011), which was chosen by the Guerilla Girls as one of their favorite Poetry books of the year, Unpublishable Manuscript #43 (UbuWeb Editions, 2010), and _Curren¢y_ (Palm Press, 2006). Supported by the California Arts Council, the Peninsula Community Foundation, the Zellerbach Family Fund, the Marin Arts Council, and others, her work has received the San Francisco Foundation’s Joseph Henry Jackson prize for poetry, among other awards, and her writing has appeared in the American Poetry Review, Jacket, Poets & Writers, The Bay Poetics Anthology, Imaginary Syllabi, and Against Expression, and Al-Mutanabbi Street Starts Here. She served as the Director of Small Press Traffic Literary Arts Center in San Francisco and is currently working on a book of poems entitled _-unnamed-relation-_. Dana lives in Southern California.
