David Estringel is a Xicanx writer/poet, who received his BA in English from the University of Texas at Brownsville and his MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Texas Rio Grande Vallwy. Currenlty, he is working on his PhD in English at Texas A&M-Commerce, where he is also Editor-in Chief of The Mayo Review, the Literature & Languages Department's literary jounral. David's works have been published in literary publications, such as The Opiate, Route 7, Azahares, Cephalorpress, Lahar, Poetry Ni, DREICH, Rigorous, Somos En Escrito, Hispanecdotes, Ethel, The Milk House, Beir Bua Journal, North Meridian Review, Drunk Monkeys, and The Blue Nib. His first collection of poetry and short fiction Indelible Fingerprints was published in April 2019, followed by Blood Honey (2022) and Cold Comfort House (2022) from Anxiety Press. David has also has three poetry chapbooks published, Punctures (Really Serious Literature, 2019), PeripherieS (The Bitchin' Kitsch, 2020), and Eating Pears on the Rooftop (Finishing Line Press, coming Fall 2022). His new book of micro poetry little punctures, a collaboration with UK illustrator, Luca Bowles, will be released in December 2022 by Really Serious Literature.
