Deborah L. Staunton

Deborah L. Staunton holds degrees in Education and Theatre Arts. She has extensive experience in the technical aspects of theatre including stage management and lighting and has written child development materials for Harcourt Learning Direct. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, Pretty Owl Poetry, Six Hens, Gallery & Studio Arts Journal, The Remembered Arts Journal, Literary Mama, Sheepshead Review, The MacGuffin and others and was featured in HBO’s Inspiration Room exhibit in New York City. She is the author of  Untethered, a poetry and short prose collection, published by V Press LC, a PenCraft Book Award recipient, a Best of the Net and two-time Pushcart Prize nominee and a member of the International Women's Writing Guild, the Author's Guild, and SCBWI. Her picture book, Owls Can't Sing, is forthcoming from Two Sisters Press.
