Author's Bio

Detrick Hughes was born and raised in Beaumont Texas. He received a BBA from the University of Houston and an MFA from Ashland University. Detrick has seven collections of poetry and two spoken word CDs. In addition to working commercially, he is/was an Adjunct Professor at Texas Southern University and Houston Community College. He previously served as the Director of the American Root Reading Series.
