Author's Bio

Edith M. Walden was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. She received a teaching fellowship and an MFA at the University of Iowa Writers’ Workshop. She taught poetry in the Connecticut Poets-in-the-Schools program and at the New Haven Correctional Center. Her poems have appeared in the Iowa Review, Calyx, and Oberon Poetry Magazine, among others. In 2018, she was a finalist in the Phyllis Ennes Poetry Contest, sponsored by the Skagit River Poetry Festival, and was a finalist for the Tucson Festival of Books Literary Award in 2020. She lives in the San Juan Islands where she farms a commercial organic orchard and listens for poems.
