Author's Bio

Information about publications, awards and nominations, workshops and other presentations, etc., may be found on my website http://home.earthlink.net/~emalcohn/index.html (or do a Web search on "Malcohn's World").

I started writing and submitting as a child, and I considered myself an "official" writer when I received my first rejection slip. When I graduated from P.S. 99 in 1972, the school ordered a second English medal, renamed it Creative Writing, and gave it to me. Part of me is still that child who doesn’t know any better and who hasn't quite grown up yet. "Keep asking questions" and "Nothing is wasted" are two maxims I pass on to my students (and to anyone who will listen), and of which I continually remind myself.
