Author's Bio

I grew up in Australia, became a British Government Scientist in London, and then a Professor of Entomology at the University of California Berkeley.  From there I was appointed Regents' Professor at the University of Arizona where I also obtained an MFA in Creative Writing.  I have published forty-five nonfiction stories in literary magazines (four of which won awards) and last year, my book, "Six Legs Walking," won the 2020  Arizona/New Mexico Award for memoir.
