Author's Bio

Eve West Bessier is Poet Laureate of Silver City, New Mexico (for 2019-2021). She is also a Poet Laureate Emerita of Davis, California. She is a published author of poetry, fiction, and non-fiction. She holds a B.A. in English from San Francisco State University, and a Master of Education from UC Davis, where she worked in educational research for 18 years. She was an Area Coordinator and teacher with California Poets in the Schools (now Cal Poets) for fifteen years. She is a jazz vocalist and vocal coach. Her latest publications include: "Roots Music: Listening to Jazz," a poetry collection now available on Amazon.com. Her visionary novel, "New Rain," is also available on Amazon.com. Both books were published by Falcon West Books in 2019.
