Frank Adams is a Lambda Literary Fellow in Poetry. He is a graduate of the University of Central Missouri. He trained as an actor under Lee Strasberg at the Strasberg Institute in New York City and with Mitch Nestor at The Performance Gallery, New York City. He has been mentored by poets Steven Reigns, Sharon Doubiago, and Eloise Klein Healy. He is the author of five poetry collections, Crazy Times (Lulu, 2008,) Mother Speaks Her Name (Wild Ocean Press, 2010), Love Remembered, (Wild Ocean Press, 2011), Strangers, Men & Boys (First Tier Press, 2014), Shadows Mist & Fog, (First Tier Press, 2014. He has published three chapbooks, Marilyn, (First Tier Press, 2014), Ghosts, (First Tier Press, 2021), and Waiting for Sunrise, (Between Shadows Press, 2022). His poems have appeared in anthologies Between: New Gay Poetry, Kansas City Metropolitan Verse, Grist, The Writer's Place Yearbook, and Cotard. In addition, his work has appeared in Cavalcade of Stars, Chelsea Street Magazine, Down-go Sun, Glitterwolf, Iris, Micro Delights, Poems for All, Poets Against War, Spare Mule, The Q Review and Vox Poetica.
