Author's Bio

Gabe Hudson is the host of the literary podcast, Twitterverse, produced by Lit Hub. Recent guests include: Tressie McMillan Cottom, Merve Emre, Charles Yu, Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah, Molly Jong-Fast, Joe Hagan, Diksha Basu, Qian Julie Wang, and Stephanie Land. Hudson is the author of 2 books published from Knopf, and served in the Marine Corps. His honors include being named one of Granta’s “Best of Young American Novelists,” PEN/Hemingway Award Finalist, the Hodder Fellowship from Princeton University, the John Hawkes Prize in Fiction from Brown University, a fellowship from the Humanities War & Peace Initiative at Columbia University, and the Sue Kaufman Prize from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. His writing has appeared in Granta, The New Yorker, The Believer, McSweeney’s, and The New York Times Magazine. He was Editor-at-Large for McSweeney's for 10+ years. His writing has been translated into 12 languages. He has taught at Princeton University, Yonsei University’s Underwood International College in Seoul, and currently teaches in the MFA program at Columbia University. Hudson died at the age of fifty-two on November 23, 2023.
