Author's Bio

 Iain Haley Pollock is a poet and educator. He is the author of Spit Back a Boy (2011), winner of the Cave Canem Poetry Prize, and Ghost, Like a Place (2018), which was nominated for an NAACP Image Award. His poems have appeared in many literary outlets, including African American Review, American Academy of Poets Poem-a-Day, American Poetry ReviewThe BafflerThe New York Times Magazine, PoetrySociety.org and The Progressive. Pollock serves on the editorial boards of Slapering Hol Press and Tiger Bark Press.  He directs the MFA Program at Manhattanville College, where he edits the literary journal Inkwell
