Irene Cooper

Irene Cooper is the author of the feminist noir thriller, FOUND, Committal, poet-friendly spy-fy about family (Vegetarian Alcoholic Press, 2020), and the poetry collection spare change (FLP, 2021). Writings appear in The Feminist Wire, phoebe, Denver Quarterly, The Rumpus, Beloit Poetry Journal, Witness, and elsewhere. Irene co-facilitates The Forge, a 10-month online writing intensive, Blank Pages Workshops and Salon, and teaches in community, as well as for the MFA program at OSU-Cacades. She supports AIC-directed creative writing at a regional prison, and currently serves as an editor for Airlie Press, a non-profit poetry collective based in the Pacific Northwest.
