Author's Bio

Jeanie French earned a Master's degree in English from the University of Nevada, Reno, in 1995. Her first collection of poetry, Paean, was published in 2005 by Finishing Line Press. She is currently collaborating with an artist on a book about logging in the Pacific Northwest. Three of her essays about raising a teenaged daughter appeared in Ophelia’s Mom by Dr. Nina Shandler. She writes fiction as well and is working on a novel based on the Beowulf story. French taught in the California Arts in Corrections Program and now teaches full-time at the College of Southern Nevada in Las Vegas, NV, where she has been instrumental in building a new online creative writing program. She is the poetry editor for Red Rock Review.
