Author's Bio

Received degrees from WSU in Detroit and USF in San Francisco. I write and perform poetry, flash fiction, nonfiction and short plays. Much of my work has been published. For ten years I hosted a popular spoken word series in SF, Celebration of the Word. Since 1996 my small press has published 20 poets. I teach English, writing and social studies to teens and adults. I consult on theses and dissertations. My cultural and film reviews appear online at several sites. Regent Press has published CAROUSEL, a collection of my essays. Taurean Horn Press has published new editions of MY OWN SILENCE, WORD DANCER, and TWO SEASONS.
