Jennifer Wing Sze Wong

Born and grew up in Hong Kong, Jennifer is the author of several collections including Goldfish (Chameleon Press 2013), Summer Cicadas (Chameleon Press) and a pamphlet, Diary of a Miu Miu Salesgirl (Bitter Melon Poetry 2019). Her latest collection, 回家 Letters Home (Nine Arches Press 2020)—which explores the complexities of history, migration and translation—has been named the PBS Wild Card Choice by Poetry Book Society. She studied English at Oxford and took a creative writing MA at University of East Anglia. She earned a creative writing PhD from Oxford Brookes University where she teaches as associate lecturer in creative writing. Her poems have appeared in World Literature Today, Oxford Poetry, The Rialto, Under the Radar, Magma Poetry, Stand, Oxford Poetry, The Scores, The North, Asian Cha, Voice & Verse and anthologies. She is a poetry reviewer for journals including Asian Review of Books, Poetry London, Poetry Review, Magma Poetry, Oxford Poetry, PN Review and Asian Cha. She also translates poetry into Chinese, and her translations have featured in journals including Poetry Review, Modern Poetry in Translation, Pathlight and Washington Square Review.
