Jeremy B. Jones is the author of Bearwallow: A Personal History of a Mountain Homeland (2014). His essays have been named Notable in Best American Essays and appear or are forthcoming in Oxford American, Brevity, and Crab Orchard Review, among others. He teaches creative writing at Western Carolina University, in his native southern Appalachia.
