Author's Bio

Jerry Garcia is a poet, photographer and filmmaker from Los Angeles, California. His poetry has been seen in various journals and anthologies, including Wide Awake: Poets of Los Angeles and Beyond, Coiled Serpent Anthology, Voices from Leimert Park Redux, and Snorted the Moon and Doused the Sun: An Addiction Anthology. He has three books of poetry, the full-length collection Trumpets in the Sky (2022 Moon Tide Press,) On Summer Solstice Road (2016 Green Tara Press,) and a chapbook Hitchhiking With the Guilty (2010 GND Press.)

Jerry is a past director of the Valley Contemporary Poets and former President of Beyond Baroque’s board of trustees in Venice, California. He is a retired producer and editor of television commercials, documentaries and motion picture previews. Jerry and his marvelous wife Becky lived together in the Coachella Valley of Southern California. Jerry passed away on August 1, 2024.
