Author's Bio

Jessica Q. Stark is currently a PhD Candidate at Duke University in the English Department, where she studies the intersections between poetry and comic books. She has taught undergraduate courses at Duke University and Saint Louis University, from modern poetry to popular culture and creative writing.

Her first poetry manuscript, The Liminal Parade, was selected by Dorothea Lasky for the Double Take Grand Prize in 2016 and was published in Heavy Feather Review, Volume 5. Her first full-length poetry collection, Savage Pageant, is forthcoming with Birds LLC.
