Author's Bio

Writer and teacher, Joan Drescher Cooper published Birds Like Me, a poetry collection with Finishing Line Press in 2019. A book of short stories, Circling the Inferno, followed in 2023.  Her poetry, book reviews, and fiction have appeared in Teachers and Writers, The Write Launch, The Delmarva Review, River Babble, Doorknobs & Body Paint, Sand Dune Anthology and The Bay to Ocean Anthology.  Joan published the Lilac Hill trilogy with Salt Water Media.  More at www.joandcooper.com

Ms. Cooper maintains membership in the Eastern Shore Writers Association and The Maryland Writers Association. Joan has sponsored creative writing for students through workshops, Poetry Out Loud National Recitation Contest, slam poetry events, the Dodge Poetry Festival, NaNoWriMo, and school magazines.
