Author's Bio

Joanne M. Clarkson's sixth poetry collection, "Hospice House," was released by MoonPath press in January 2023. Her book, "The Fates" won Bright Hill Press annual contest and was published in 2017. Her chapbook, "Believing the Body" from Gribble Press appeared in 2014. Clarkson's poems have been published in such journals as Nimrod, Western Humanities Review, Beloit Poetry Journal, Poetry Northwest, WA 129 Anthology and others.  She received an Artist Trust Grant and an NEH grant to teach poetry in rural libraries. Clarkson has Master's Degrees in English and Library Science, has taught and worked as a professional librarian. After caring for her mother through a long illness, she re-careered as a Registered Nurse specializing in Home Health and Hospice Care. See more at www.JoanneClarkson.com.
