Joseph Ponepinto

Fiction Writer

Author's Bio

Joseph Ponepinto is the co-Publisher and Fiction Editor of Tahoma Literary Review and the former Book Reviews Editor for The Los Angeles Review. His 2015 book, Curtain Calls: A Novel of the Great War, was called “a winning novel” by Kirkus Reviews. His short stories have been published in dozens of literary journals in the U.S. and abroad. A New York native, Joe has lived in many locations around the country, and now writes in Washington State, where he lives with his wife, Dona, and Henry the coffee-drinking dog. He was (in no particular order) a journalist, a short order cook, a mayoral assistant, a chauffeur, a small business owner, a stock boy, an adjunct college instructor, and a few other things before turning to fiction writing. He holds an MFA from the Northwest Institute of Literary Arts.
