Author's Bio

Joyce E. Young is the author of How it Happens (Nomadic Press, 2018). She writes poetry, essays and fiction. Her work has appeared most recently in  West Trestle Review, The Bloom, The San Francisco Public Library Poem of the Day, Essential Truths: The Bay Area in Color, Smith Alumnae Quarterly. Her poetry has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. She has been teaching writing for over 25 years in museums, community arts organizations, schools, colleges and universities. Her clients have included The Oakland Museum of Californa (OMCA), the Museum Educators Roundtable, and Write Now! SF Bay . She currently lives and writes in Berkeley, CA.
